Kaan has three wishes in life. First and foremost, he wishes to one day setup a successful ligation reaction. Second, he wishes that 2nd best TV show on the planet, Futurama, be brought back. Third, he wishes to become supreme ruler of Earth. However, this aspiration was put on hold when new episodes of Family Guy began airing.
Stephanie, a scientist-in-training, is currently working towards her cell biology and psychology undergraduate degrees at UBC. She enjoys observing human behavior and deciphering causes that underlie bizarre mental illnesses. Her recent obsessions include Harry Potter, brain imaging techniques, and her dwarf hamster whose name is loosely translated from Cantonese as "Dried Shrimp."
Arthur walks on the line between art and science. Even when he's occupied with his science education career, Arthur still finds time to pick up his pencil or brush to express himself on paper or canvas. He also has an obsession with cars and their design. Oh yeah and Arthur needs a stable job after graduation.
Mei Mei Tian is a PhD candidate in the department of Microbiology and Immunology at UBC. Aside from being a lab-rat, her latest obsession is making avatar dolls...they are lots of fun.
Aiming to graduate in 2006 from UBC pharmacology, Jane has great ambitions to embark on a career in medicine. She enjoys a multi-faceted life of learning, researching, volunteering, travelling, reading, writing, drawing, singing and cooking. When possible, she likes to balance her science-oriented academic life with art, being self-taught in digital illustration, graphic design and photography. She also has a great passion for food - both its creation and consumption. To Jane, life is addictive, and so is ice cream.
