Allison Koster worked as a Chemist for 11 years in Decorah, IA before her early-midlife crisis when she decided to run away and join the theatre world (populated with people even weirder than scientists); she now teaches design and technical theatre in Northfield, MN, where the town motto is "Cows, Colleges and Contentment". She is a champion cat herder, and still wears sensible shoes.
